Quality, it’s a word that can make or break any small business. In this episode of Espressos with Entrepreneurs, Jeremy and Alan discuss how we strive to set our businesses apart from our competitors. We seek to do this by giving our customers a product with the highest quality possible while keeping our prices reasonable or sometimes lower than our competitors.
If you know anything about my company, you know that quality is a word that is on the forefront of my mind at all times. I am trying to introduce the city of Memphis to the highest quality coffee it has ever seen. I try to present my coffee in the most professional manner, while still having the flair and persona of a small business. One way I ensure that my product gets to you the consumer with the highest quality possible is that I personally roast and package every single bean that goes to the market. You can see this by my packaging. I handwrite on all of the labels to ensure you that I have seen and touched every bag of coffee that goes to the market. I don’t know if this will be a sustainable practice once the business grows, but it is something that I will hold onto as long as possible. Once that practice is no longer sustainable, I will still personally taste every new roast and be sampling almost every batch to ensure that my customers are getting the highest quality coffee possible.
“Espressos with Entrepreneurs” is a joint project with Lone Wolf Video and Reverb Coffee Company. It’s what happens when two Memphis based entrepreneurs, one a coffee roaster and the other a video producer, get together, have fun, and talk about important and comical topics.
